Chiaki Yamamoto
Chiaki Yamamoto is a composer and singer-songwriter from Tokyo, Japan. She moved to New York in September, 2019. She composes music for movies. She is also involved in two projects as a songwriter: SeN and Naminoyo. Links to recordings of her songs are at the end of this page.
山本千晶は東京出身の作曲家・シンガーソングライターです。2019年よりアメリカ合衆国 ニューヨーク州 クイーンズに住んでいます。映画音楽とSeN・波のようと呼ばれる2つのプロジェクトにて音楽制作を行っています。作品はこのページの下段をご覧ください。
Film music
SeN
SeN is her solo project. Its songs were inspired by her experiences and thoughts about life in New York.
She conceived the project in November, 2021, and started recording in April, 2022. Chiaki wrote all of the songs for this project. Co-producer Kiyoshi Chinzei helped with recording, arranging, and mixing. The debut album was released on Nov. 3, 2023. FM Tokyo selected three of its tracks as “BRAND-NEW SONGS” for broadcast. Chiaki is currently performing live with Justin Wierbonski.
SeNは千晶のソロプロジェクトです。ニューヨークでの生活からインスピレーションを得て、現地アーティストと共にレコーディングを行なった作品を2023年11月3日にリリースしました。このアルバム「Chloe In My Memories」から3曲がTokyo FM BRAND-NEW SONGS に選ばれました。また、ブルックリンを中心にJustin Wierbonskiと共にライブでの演奏を行なっています。
Naminoyo
Naminoyo is a Japanese Ambient Folk band. It was founded in 2017 in Tokyo, Japan. Its members have continued to work online during Chiaki’s residency in New York.
波のようは日本のアンビエントフォークバンドです。2017年に活動を開始しました。現在はリモートにて録音を行なっています。
